Cynthia was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended University of Cincinnati to study Fine Arts with a focus in Photography. After college, she began her career as a production artist who specialized in digital illustration and photo manipulation for a small design firm. In 2001, she moved with her husband to Seattle, WA. Cynthia worked as a portrait photographer before re-entering the world of design.

When designing, Cynthia likes to combine traditional art techniques with digital methods to create imagery that is uniquely her own. As a photographer, Cynthia considers her camera as a tool to paint with light oftentimes highlighting the minutiae of architecture and urban landscapes. She enjoys thinking outside of the box to create her pieces. No tool or technique is off limits be it purely digital creation to scanning, hand-drawn mediums to fabrics and textiles.
