Growing up in the wood of Washington state with her father, Millie loved exploring the forests and seeing all the wildlife. Her favorite times were when the deer would come close to the house to graze. During her adventures in the woods she would sit and sketch the animals and plants for house. Later moving into the city and being closer to the water she started studying sea life and adding them into her oeuvre. Millie still visits the local forests to find inspiration and continues to befriend the local animal folk.
